EUGANEAN HILLS

Nature and history

A series of mountain reliefs with different altitude and shape constitute the original outline of the area of Euganean Hills. A peculiar ecosystem, in which an heterogeneous variety of flora and fauna coexists with the several agricultural and wine-producing activities which grew in the region.

The natural heritage is enriched by countless historical and artistic evidences, that are accessible with convenient road connections and evocative green pathways. The historical human signs are preserved in order to give back the visitor the full atmosphere of the different ages by shifting from mansions to castles, from abbeys to monasteries, from medieval towns to rural places.
